1. Fisherman’s, San Clemente

A restaurant right on the pier with the waves crashing below your feet. This is where Chris took Mandy to dinner before he proposed on the sand in front of lifeguard stand #3.

2. Las Brisas, Laguna Beach

Gorgeous restaurant on a bluff overlooking Main Beach, Laguna Beach.

3. The Rooftop Lounge, Laguna Beach

Our favorite spot to get drinks at sunset. It’s truly a locals' only spot. The bar is located on the roof of a hotel called, Casa Del Camino, but just go straight up the stairs to the roof and there you have a gorgeous view of Laguna Beach!

4. Flamingos, Laguna Hills

 Our favorite Mexican Restaurant!

5. Ruby’s Shake Shack

This is our favorite spot to stop for a shake while on our weekend drives along Pacific Coast Highway. Skakes and burgers overlooking Crystal Cove Beach. Doesn’t get much better than that.

6. In-N-Out

Best Burger in the Nation! A true trademark of California.

First off, here is a great map of the Orange County area:  http://www.orangecounty.net/html/cities.html

1. San Clemente Pier

Wander south of the pier to lifeguard stand #3. This is where Chris proposed to Mandy in the sand at sunset.

2. Dana Point Harbor

This is a great place for kayaking or stand up paddle boarding. At the end of the harbor there is the Ocean Institute where Mandy attended “Sea Camp” as a little girl. It also has amazing tide pools filled with sea stars and sea anemones that you can touch http://www.ocean-institute.org/. Tons of fun, fishy restaurants here too.

3. Downtown Laguna Beach

Enjoy strolling around downtown Laguna Beach located right near their “Main Beach.” You will love the adorable art galleries, restaurants, and surf shops!

4. Balboa Island

This is a fantastic place to rent bikes and explore for the day!  http://www.easyridebikes.com/

5. Crystal Cove, Corona Del Mar

A historical site, Crystal Cove exemplifies the real California beach culture with beach cottages from when the area was first settled in the 1930s. Great place to stroll and take pictures. Right above the Beach cottages is the Ruby’s Shake Shack which you can learn more about on the restaurant page.

6. Huntington Beach

Surf City USA! Need we say more?

7. Beach of a Thousand Steps

Ok it's not really One Thousand steps but it is 300+ stairs on a steep incline gowing down a bluff in Laguna Beach. This hidden cove is our favorite spot that only the locals know.

How did you meet Chris (if you are a groomsmen) or Mandy (if you are a
bridesmaid)?
Despite growing up in the same town and attending the same high school, Chris and I did not become close friends until our last year at Indiana University. After graduation we were roomates in Chicago. The first time I remember meeting Mandy was at Taco Bell at 3:00a.m.
What is your favorite memory of Chris or Mandy, as a couple or
individually?
I have too many good memories of Chris and Mandy. My least favorite memory of them is the moment Chris told me he was leaving me to move in with Mandy. It was then that I realized I was being replaced and Chris and I would, in fact, not be spending the rest of our lives together.
What are you most looking forward to for the wedding?

A. Vacation to California

B. Being able to be a part of Chris and Mandy's big day and being being there as they start the next chapter of their lives together.

C. Helping to very precisely and neatly stack and restack things in preparation for the wedding and reception.

What do you do for a living?
I am a college student at the University of Montana.
How did you meet Chris (if you are a groomsmen) or Mandy (if you are a
bridesmaid)?
Chris and I were introduced by my mom and dad, January 15th 1988. A day that I am sure he will never forget.
What is your favorite memory of Chris or Mandy, as a couple or
individually?
My favorite memory of both of them was on Christmas eve when they came home to surprise my mother with candles and Christmas carols. My favorite memory is Chris is when he used to sing opera in the summer at the kitchen table and the neighbors could hear him across the creek.
What are you most looking forward to for the wedding?
Yes, I am looking forward to vacation in Cali, but I am also looking forward to meeting all of the future in-laws, Chris & Mandy’s friends, as well as spending time with the entire family.

How did you meet Chris (if you are a groomsmen) or Mandy (if you are a

April 4, 2003, Bloomington, IN at the Evans Scholars House. We were both visiting the Scholars house the spring before we started at IU and it was your standard, awkward, forced "make friends with your pledge brothers" conversation.
What is your favorite memory of Chris or Mandy, as a couple or
individually?
Though we've had some special times together, my fondest memories of Chris and Mandy are any number of times we've just sat around talking about life, whether it be over Pizza Express in mine and Chris' suite in the house, fine grilled food at a tailgate or s'mores on the beach at Laguna. Our "normal" moments of friendship are the ones that stick with me the strongest.
What are you most looking forward to for the wedding?
This will be my first wedding in nine years, so I am looking forward to everything, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't psyched for all the college buddies to come out to SoCal for a weekend.

What do you do for a living?
Currently I work as the Manager of Development and Public Relations at Teen Parent Connection, a nonprofit in the Chicago suburbs. I also event/wedding plan on a contract basis and coach the local high school Speech Team. But when I grow up, I want to be a writer. And a teacher. Oh, and host a tv show!
How did you meet Chris (if you are a groomsmen) or Mandy (if you are a
bridesmaid)?
Mandy is my Zeta Tau Alpha sorority sister! I vividly remember her introducing herself when our pledge class met on bid day – the blonde-haired beauty from California in the middle of the Midwest!
What is your favorite memory of Chris or Mandy, as a couple or
individually?
Ohhh my gosh – I could write a book about my adventures with Mandy! (hmm…maybe I will…). I have had so many memorable moments with her, but our time in London together specifically stands out. We studied abroad in 2006, and that is where I grew to love Mandy as a loyal, compassionate, and extremely fun London “wifey.” Lots of memories include: our room that was so small we could hold hands while we fell asleep in our side-by-side twin beds; our Valentine’s Day dinner that Mandy cooked, with candy heart decorations! J (which I’m sure she’ll do for you, Chris); and almost being stuck together in Bratislava, Slovakia after going to the wrong airport and illegally crossing the border. (Now it’s funny. At the time? Not so much.) As a couple, our senior year formal trip to Louisville: Chris and Mandy wore matching “Team Honey” t-shirts. Fantastic.
What are you most looking forward to for the wedding?
Ahhhh! Everything! I just keep envisioning this perfect day full of love and laughter and celebration. It will be perfect no matter what, because Chris and Mandy are *so* meant for each other, and I feel honored to stand by them as they pledge their love and their lives to one another. It’s obvious they were brought together for a reason. Team Honey for life! Oh, and obvi I’m looking forward to busting out the lasso/thrust move on the dance floor with all of our sorority sisters.

I work as an editor for an educational publishing company called Teacher Created Materials. Specifically, I manage the development of mathematics, science, and technology curriculum products.
How did you meet Chris (if you are a groomsmen) or Mandy (if you are a
bridesmaid)?
I met Mandy twelve years ago when I started dating her brother, Ryan. Coincidentally, she and my sister, Emily, danced at the same studio, so our moms already knew each other.
What is your favorite memory of Chris or Mandy, as a couple or
individually?
I have many, many memories of Mandy over the past twelve years. I have done her hair for dances, been her advise-giver, cheered at football games with her, given her cooking lessons, and been her "buffer" at family events. I have even helped her pick out the most special dress of her life. She is truly another sister to me! It's hard to pin down just one memory, but I think one of my favorites of Mandy and Chris is the "Welcome to California" party she threw Chris last October. It was great to see how Mandy meticulously planned the menu, the drinks, the pumpkin carving, and the decorations. She even made a glittered welcome "home" sign! For all of you who know Mandy, immitating Martha Stewart is not something she does for just anyone, so it was very clear how special Chris was to her! And, I loved how good of a sport Chris was at participating in all of the events of the evening, even though he was exhausted from driving for three days straight!
What are you most looking forward to for the wedding?
I am looking forward to watching Mandy walk down the aisle in a beautiful dress--she will finally be the princess she's always dreamed of! I am also looking forward to making my husband dance with me all night. Maybe this time he'll get dancing lessons before the big night! :)

I work at Berean Christian High School as the Dean of Women and Student Government Advisor. I also coach girls basketball and boys and girls swimming at Berean.
How did you meet Chris (if you are a groomsmen) or Mandy (if you are a
bridesmaid)?
Hmmm....I'm trying to remember the first time I met Honey. It had to be at Grandma's house (because everything of family significance happens at Grandma's house). I love Honey!
What is your favorite memory of Chris or Mandy, as a couple or
individually?
My favorite memories with Mandy always ended with me getting a spanking and Mandy getting off the hook. Ever since we could walk, Mandy took Cousin Natty on adventures. :) There was the time we were two-ish and went for a walk to "look at Christmas lights." A classic Natty/Mandy adventure was the time we got into Grandma's make up. We were hot lava! (That picture is a Johnson Family classic). More recently, Mandy and Natty had a more grown up adventure when Bling met Spark. I can't believe we're so grown up!
What are you most looking forward to for the wedding?
I am so excited to see my cousin stand in front of all of her friends and family and begin her marriage rooted deeply in the Lord. It is going to be an honor to welcome Honey (officially) into the family and support my cuz as she committs herself to her husband. I think the part I am most looking forward to is watching Honey's face as Mandy makes her way down the aisle. xoxo!

How did you meet Chris (if you are a groomsmen) or Mandy (if you are a

I met Mandy Freshman year at Indiana. We were practically roommates!
What is your favorite memory of Chris or Mandy, as a couple or
individually?
Too many too count! My died black hair fiasco comes to mind or maybe getting Chris's room ready for valentine's day or maybe the endless nights chatting at our slumber parties.
What are you most looking forward to for the wedding?
Finally seeing Mandy get her fairytale wedding...she has only been buying wedding magazines for 10 years!

How did you meet Chris (if you are a groomsmen) or Mandy (if you are a
bridesmaid)?
I met Mandy on the first day of kindergarten, where we learned that we lived on the same block.
What is your favorite memory of Chris or Mandy, as a couple or
individually?
Having known Mandy for about 20 years, I have lots of favorite moments, but one of my favorite memories is when we were younger and would visit her grandma's house in Palm Dessert and we would "live" in our little apartment! Such good times!!! As a couple there is not one specific moment, but the collection of time that I have spent with them together has been fun and I look forward to spending 20 more years with Chris and Mandy Lausche!
What are you most looking forward to for the wedding?
I am most looking forward to seeing God move through the room during Mandy and Chris' wedding vows. But, I am also excited to be able to spend some quality time with the Johnsons and Lausches!

What do you do for a living?
Currently, I am a full-time graduate student at DePaul University studying toward my Masters in Business Administration. Prior to that, I did marketing and event planning for a dental device company in Irvine, CA. I am still trying to figure out what I would like to do after I get my MBA.
How did you meet Chris (if you are a groomsmen) or Mandy (if you are a
bridesmaid)?
Mandy and I met in middle school but became friends in high school. Our friendship grew while we were both active doing typical high school activities: student government, honors classes, bonfires, iceblocking, going to the beach every weekend, and much, much more!
What is your favorite memory of Chris or Mandy, as a couple or
individually?
This is tough because I have many great memories of Toph and Mandy. They are always tons of fun! My most favorite memory (or set of memories) was when they were kind enough to allow me to tag along on their vacation to Chicago over New Years last year. Not only did we have 5 fun filled days together but I got to know Chris a lot better (which is important because he took my girlfriend away from me!) and also got to know them better as a couple. After that I knew for sure that they were not only going to make it, but a match made in heaven! :)
What are you most looking forward to for the wedding?
Being a transplanted Californian, of course I am excited to have a reason to vacation in my hometown, however, I am excited to see one of my most favorite couples ever make the ultimate commitment to each other and am honored to stand by their side while they say their vows. This is a wedding many people are looking forward to and I am most definitely one of them! It's definitely going to be a blast!
